Newcastle United have been fashioned into a functional, organised side who look set to stay up comfortably under Rafa Benitez without a great deal in the way of investment or firepower.
After a solid season on their return to the Premier League, Benitez will surely be looking to spend to build a side capable of repeating the trick and establishing the Magpies as a stable top flight outfit again and maybe even start regarding the cups as a viable source of glory.
To do that, it looks as if the main factor that needs to change is the introduction of a reliable goalscorer and one man who might be able to help is Andy Carroll.
The man valued at £9m by Transfermarkt is a proper Geordie and his return would make him the second most popular man at the club, behind Benitez.
He has had his well-documented injury problems though, so that’s why we’re asking you; would a return to the north-east for Carroll would be a good deal for the club?
